16 Security deposit

(1) If a purchaser of a residential unit, prior to receiving title to
the unit, rents that unit from the developer, the developer may
charge the purchaser a security deposit in respect of the unit.
(2) A developer shall not charge an amount under subsection (1) in
excess of one month's rent for the unit.
