263 Minister's right to information

(1) The Minister may in writing direct a provincial company to
obtain from a person in whose name a share is registered in the
securities register of the company or who is the beneficial owner of
a share of the company a declaration containing any or all of the
following information:
(a) information concerning the ownership or beneficial
ownership of the share;
(b) information as to whether the share is held or beneficially
owned by a person who is related to that person, and the
name of the related person where applicable;
(c) information as to the place in which the shareholder and any
person for whose use or benefit the share is held are
ordinarily resident;
(d) information concerning the ownership or beneficial
ownership of the shares of a holding body corporate;

(e) information concerning any other matters specified by the
Minister.
(2) The directors of a provincial company that is the subject of a
direction under subsection (1) must ensure that the company
forthwith complies with the direction.
(3) A provincial company that is the subject of a direction under
subsection (1) may request a person who has possession of or
access to the information required to provide a declaration
containing the information to the Minister, and that person must
forthwith comply with the request.
