292 Triennial solicitation of policyholders

(1) A provincial company must, at the time of the application
for or issuance of a policy the holder of which is entitled to vote at
meetings of the participating policyholders or participating
policyholders and shareholders of the company and at least once
every 3 years after the application,
(a) advise the participating policyholder of the policyholder's
right to attend and to vote in person or by proxy at those
meetings,
(b) provide the policyholder with a form for the policyholder to
complete and return to the company if the policyholder
wishes to receive notices of the meetings of the participating
policyholders or participating policyholders and
shareholders during the next 3 years, and
(c) provide the participating policyholder with a form of proxy.
(2) Subsection (1) does not apply in respect of a provincial
company that provides its participating policyholders with notices
of all meetings of participating policyholders and shareholders.
