56.41 Certification authority
authority for the purposes of this Act, as provided in this section.
(1.1) Before designating a person as a certification authority, the
Registrar may require the person to satisfy the Registrar that
(a) the person has adopted an d published a certification practice
statement approved by the Registrar,
(b) the person is capable of ad ministering and complying with
the certification practice statement referred to in clause (a),
and
(c) the subscribers named in certificates issued by the person
will be required to observe and comply with the certification
practice statement referred to in clause (a).
(2) The Registrar may enter into an agreement with a person
referred to in subsection (1) for the purpose of establishing the
terms and conditions of the designation.
