93 Initiation of change of status
Council an order be made changing the status of a municipality if
(a) the Minister receives a re quest from the municipality's
council,
(b) the Minister receives a su fficient petition from the majority
of the electors in the municipality requesting the change in
status, or
(c) the Minister is satisfied that the municipality no longer
meets the applicable principles, standards and criteria
established under section 76 or, in the case of a specialized
RSA 2000

municipality, that the reasons for its original formation as a
specialized municipality no longer exist.
