as medical officers of health and one or more persons as executive
officers for the regional health authority for the purpose of carrying
out this Act and the regulations.
(2) The Minister may appoint one or more persons as medical
officers of health for a regional health authority if the Minister is of
the opinion that the number of medical officers of health appointed
by the regional health authority is insufficient.
(3) A person who is appointed as a medical officer of health under
this section is, by virtue of the appointment, also an executive
officer.

(4) A medical officer of health and an executive officer appointed
under this section must have the qualifications, if any, set out in the
regulations.
