32 Change of name

(1) A company may, by special resolution and with the approval
of the Registrar signified in writing, change its name.
(1.1) Unless otherwise provided by the Registrar, the special
resolution filed with the Registrar shall be accompanied by the
documents relating to corporate names that are prescribed by the
regulations
.
(2) When the special resolution has been filed with the Registrar
and all lawful requirements of the Registrar in respect of returns or
reports due from the company under this Act have been complied
with, the Registrar shall issue a certificate showing the change of
name.
(a) - (c) repealed 2020 c25 s2(19).
(3) The change of name does not affect any rights or obligations of
the company, nor render defective any legal proceedings by or
against the company, and any legal proceedings that might have
been continued or commenced against it by its former name may be
continued or commenced against it by its new name.
