9.21 Inability of judge to complete proceedings

If a proceeding, other than a trial or application under the
Criminal Code (Canada), has commenced and the presiding judge
is unable for any reason to complete the proceedings, any judge
requested to act by the Chief Justice or Deputy Chief Justice may
continue the proceedings from where the proceedings were left off
and, according to the opinion of the judge requested to act as to
what is required to ensure justice, that judge may continue the
proceedings to completion or recommence the proceedings.
