16 Registration of copies of judgment

(1) The spouse shall register forthwith in the proper land titles
office certified copies of the judgment and of the order directing
payment of the unsatisfied judgment out of the General Revenue
Fund.
(2) On the registration of the certified copies of the judgment and
order in the proper land titles office, the spouse ceases to have any
dower rights in any land registered or to be registered in the name
of the married person and the land ceases to be a homestead for the
purposes of this Act.
(3) On proof of the registration of the certified copies of the
judgment and the order in the proper land titles office, and on
receipt of a certified copy of the order, the Minister responsible for
this Act shall pay the amount so ordered to be paid out of the
General Revenue Fund and on paying that amount the Minister
responsible for this Act is entitled to an assignment of the judgment
and is subrogated to all the rights of the spouse who recovered the
judgment.
