23 Personal property

(1) When a life estate in the homestead vests in the surviving
spouse on the death of a married person, the surviving spouse also
has a life estate in the personal property of the deceased that is,
pursuant to Part 10 of the Civil Enforcement Act, free from seizure
under a writ of enforcement in the surviving spouse's lifetime and
the surviving spouse is entitled to the use and enjoyment of that
personal property.
(2) If a dispute arises as to the articles that are included in the
personal property referred to in subsection (1), the question shall be
submitted to the Court.
