26 Wage employees
in or under any department of the Government, including the
Executive Council and the Legislative Assembly, who is paid at an
hourly, daily, weekly or monthly rate.
(2) Wage employment may be used
(a) under conditions that do not permit employment throughout
a day, week or month, or
(b) when necessitated by the employment practices of
competitive private employers.
(3) This Act, except sections 20, 24 and this section, does not
apply to wage employees.
(4) The Minister may make regulations governing the
appointment, payment and conditions of service of wage
employees.
