3 Application of Act to professional engineers

(1) No individual, corporation, partnership or other entity may
engage in both the practice of architecture and the practice of
engineering or hold out that it is entitled to engage in both the
practice of architecture and the practice of engineering as defined
in the Engineering and Geoscience Professions Act, unless it holds
a certificate of authorization under this Act or the Engineering and
Geoscience Act permitting it to do so.
(2) Nothing in section 2(1) applies to an individual registered as a
professional engineer under the Engineering and Geoscience
Professions Act
who has been granted authority by the Council to
apply for a permit authorized by the regulations under the Safety
Codes Act
