Part 21 — Extra-provincial Corporations and Extra-provincial Matters
279 Division 1 Registration Requirement to register
corporation shall be registered under this Part before or within 30
days after it commences carrying on business in Alberta.
(2) If a corporation becomes an extra-provincial corporation by
reason of the operation of section 189(8) and is then carrying on
business in Alberta, the extra-provincial corporation shall be
registered under this Part on or within 30 days after the date shown
in the certificate of discontinuance issued under section 189.
(3) An extra-provincial corporation registered under Part 8 of the
Companies Act, RSA 1980 cC-20, on February 1, 1982 is deemed
to be registered under this Part.
