any manner that the Committee considers appropriate, and the
Committee is not bound by the rules of law respecting evidence
applicable to judicial proceedings.
(2) For the purposes of an investigation, hearing or review under
this Act, the Registrar or any member of the Council, the Discipline
Committee or the Board is conferred with the power of a
commissioner for oaths under the Notaries and Commissioners Act.
