28 Division 3 Public Utilities General Definitions
(a) "customer" has the meaning given to it in the Electric
Utilities Act;
(a.1) "easement" means an easemen t, interest or right held by a
municipality for the purpose of locating the system or works
of a municipal public utility;
(b) "municipal public utility" me ans the system or works of a
public utility operated by or on behalf of a municipality or a
subsidiary of a municipality within the meaning of section
1(3) of the Electric Utilities Act other than under an
agreement referred to in section 45;
(c) "municipal utility service" means a utility service provided
by a municipal public utility;

(d) "non-municipal public utility " means the system or works of
a public utility operated by or on behalf of a person under an
agreement referred to in section 45;
(d.1) "retailer" has the meaning given to it in the Electric Utilities
Act;
(e) "service connection" means th e part of the system or works
of a public utility that runs from the main lines of the public
utility to a building or other place on a parcel of land for the
purpose of providing the utility service to the parcel and
includes those parts of the system or works described in
section 29;
(f) "utility service" means the th ing that is provided by the
system or works of a public utility.
