73 Penalty
under section 62 or an order of a medical officer of health or
physician under Part 3 is guilty of an offence.
(2) A person who contravenes an order under section 62 or an
order of a physician under Part 3 is liable to a fine of not less than
$100 and not more than $5000 for each day or part of a day during
which the contravention occurs or continues.
(3) A person who contravenes this Act, the regulations or an order
of a medical officer of health under Part 3 is, if no penalty in
respect of that offence is prescribed elsewhere in this Act, liable to
a fine of not more than $100 000 in the case of a first offence and
$500 000 in the case of a subsequent offence.
(4) Where a person is convicted of an offence under this Act, the
judge, in addition to any other penalty the judge may impose, may
order the person to comply with the provision of this Act or the
regulations or the order for the contravention of which the person
was convicted.
