147 Providing financial statements to shareholders

(1) A public company shall, 21 days or more before the date of
the annual meeting, provide to each shareholder a copy of the
financial statement approved by the board of directors.
(2) A shareholder of a private company is entitled to be furnished
by the company on demand with a copy of the documents
mentioned in subsection (1).
(3) A company that fails to comply with subsection (1) or (2) is
guilty of an offence and is liable to a fine of not more than $200,
and every director or officer of the company who authorizes,
permits or acquiesces in any such failure is guilty of an offence and
is liable to a like fine.
