229 Employee contracts
(2) No employee of a board shall enter into an agreement, other
than a contract of employment, either in the employee's own name
or in the name of another, alone or jointly with another, with the
board by which the employee is employed or with any person
contracting with the board, if the employee has a pecuniary interest
in the agreement, unless
(a) other than in the case of t he purchase of real property from
or the sale of real property to the board, the employee
(i) discloses the employee's interest to the board, and
(ii) obtains the board's approval of the employee's entering
into the agreement,
before entering into the agreement, and
(b) in the case of the purchase of real property from or the s ale
of real property to the board, the employee
(i) declares the employee's interest to the board, and
(ii) obtains the board's and t he Minister's approval of the
employee's entering into the agreement,
before entering into the agreement.
(3) A contract entered into in contravention of subsection (2) is
void.
