96.96 Recall Petition Finances and Advertising Regulations - recall petition finances and advertising

(1) The Lieutenant Governor in Council may, for the
purposes of this Division, make regulations applying any
provisions of the Local Authorities Election Act and the regulations
under that Act with modifications of those provisions as the
Lieutenant Governor in Council considers appropriate to the
context of this Division or otherwise considers advisable, and
without limiting the general powers conferred by this subsection,
the Lieutenant Governor in Council may, for the purposes of this
Division, make regulations in relation to recall petition finances
and advertising
(a) providing with respect to any provision of the regulations
under this subsection that its contravention constitutes an
offence;
(b) prescribing penalties, including imprisonment, in respect of
offences created under clause (a).
(2) Subject to subsection (1), the Minister may, for the purposes of
this Division, make regulations applying any provisions of the
Local Authorities Election Act and the regulations under that Act
with modifications of those provisions as the Minister considers
appropriate to the context of this Division or otherwise considers
advisable, and without limiting the general powers conferred by
this subsection, the Minister may, for the purposes of this Division,
make regulations in relation to recall petition finances and
advertising
(a) defining words or expressions, including a word or
expression used in this Division;
(b) respecting the duties and po wers of a secretary with respect
to a recall petition;

(c) respecting any other matters relating to finances and
advertising during the recall petition process that the
Minister considers appropriate for the purposes of this
Division.
