30 Accredited agencies

(1) On the application of a person, an Administrator may, by
order, designate the person as an accredited agency authorized to
provide services pursuant to all or part of this Act with respect to
any or all things, processes or activities to which this Act applies.

(2) If an Administrator refuses to designate a person as an
accredited agency, the Administrator shall serve the person with a
written notice of the refusal.
(3) An Administrator may include terms and conditions in an order
under this section.
(4) An accredited agency may enter into an agreement with the
Minister, the Council, an accredited municipality, an accredited
corporation or another person approved by the Minister to provide
services under this Act that the agency is authorized to provide.
(5) If an Administrator, on reasonable and probable grounds, is of
the opinion that an accredited agency does not comply with the
requirements of this or any other Act or with the terms and
conditions of its designation, the Administrator may, by order,
suspend or cancel the designation as an accredited agency and shall
serve the agency with a written notice of the suspension or
cancellation.
(6) A person may appeal to the Council in accordance with the
Council's bylaws
(a) a refusal of designation as an accredited agency, and
(b) a suspension or cancellation of a designation as an
accredited agency.
(7) An order under this section shall be published in The Alberta
Gazette.
