12 Evidential value of copies of certain records

(1) Copies of any records, documents, plans, books or papers
belonging to or deposited in the Director's office and attested under
the signature of the Minister, the Director or any person authorized
in writing by the Minister shall admitted in evidence in all cases in
which the original records, documents, plans, books or papers
would be admissible as evidence.
(2) Lithographed or other copies of maps or plans that purport to
be issued or published in accordance with this Act, in the
possession of a department as defined in the Financial
Administration Act or the Government of Canada, shall be admitted
in evidence as proof, in the absence of evidence to the contrary, of
the originals, and of the contents of the originals.
